Debby Bird – Silk and Batik for Beautiful Greetings Cards

Debby will bring frames, paints, brushes, tools and a wax pot. She will demonstrate several techniques for you to try and by the end of the day you will have several samples for further use along with a couple of greeting cards.

Debby is a mixed media artist and tutor in Bristol. She began her art journey with a City and Guilds in Silk Painting. This led her into all types of textile art. Her work ranges from tiny embroidered brooches , to huge wall hangings and installations. She has worked with schools and groups to create huge batik banners and teaches creative stitch on a weekly basis for Adult learning in Bristol.
