Tase Woolf – Introduction to English Paper Piecing

May 14 @ 9:30 am 4:00 pm

Membership Type

English paper piecing (EPP) is a patchwork technique dating back to the 1770s. The techniques folds fabric over paper templates, which makes sewing shapes such as hexagons and diamonds much easier than sewing with a machine. All you need to start is a little fabric, a needle, thread and scissors; as so little equipment is needed, projects are really portable and can be picked up almost anywhere!

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • prepare the fabric for piecing
  • how to sew with an almost invisible stitch
  • piecing the elements together and make either a needle case or a pincushion or starting your own quilt!
