Wendy Lloyd – Collagraph Printing on Fabric

Learn how to make Collagraph Plates to achieve a wide range of effects and print onto fabric and papers suitable for embellishment with stitch using simple equipment. Go home with your plates, lots of printed pieces and handouts for reference. Wendy will bring many stitched examples.
Wendy Lloyd is a textile artist, printmaker and teacher living and working in West Berkshire.
She absorbed textile skills by osmosis from her mother – a textile artist who taught embroidery and helped to write the original City and Guilds patchwork and quilt-making course.
She joined the Dubai Quilters’ Guild as an expat and then moved from free machine quilting to machine embroidery and a City and Guilds course on her return to the UK. There she discovered fabric printing and subsequently moved sideways into printmaking on paper working with the Rabley Artist Printmakers (just outside Marlborough).
She enjoys stretching the boundaries of what print and textiles mean, combining techniques and trying to remain playful within the technical constraints that different processes impose.
