Last post – farewell from Ros!

Just a brief note to sign off!

This is my last blog post for Textiles and Stitch Around Marlborough.  I stood down from the Committee at the November AGM and now plan to listen to the speakers’ talks without having to make notes and take photos, stitch in the morning instead of attending the Committee meeting and enjoy a good chat with like minded friends.

I posted for the first time in June 2012 when we were know as Marlborough and District Embroiderers’ Guild and have tried my best to record the speakers, workshops and outings we have done over the last 12 years.

Thank you for my beautiful bouquet of flowers.  They were much appreciated.

Although she is staying on the Committee for another year, Vernice is standing down from her role as Programme Secretary.  What an wonderful job she has done over the years to provide us with a truly amazing programme of speakers and workshops.  She will be a hard act to follow.

I hope the blog on Textiles and Stitch around Marlborough’s website will continue in some form but we will have to wait and see!  A  very big thank you to everybody who has contributed in some way and to all our wonderful speakers and tutors who have allowed me to record their visits over the years.

Happy stitching everyone!

Ros
