The Red Dress Project is Coming To
Textiles and Stitch Around Marlborough!

In 2009 Kirstie MacLeod designed a dress on the back of a napkin and over the last 12 years 343 embroiderers from 46 countries have stitched into 1 dress.

The Red Dress has been on display at the Royal School of Needlework exhibition at the Fashion & Textile Museum in Bermondsey and is going to Egypt in September.

We have secured a visit from Kirstie and the dress in October before the dress leaves for a world tour (Pakistan, USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia); it will not return to the UK for at  least 5 years.

Entrance to view the Red Dress will be by ticket only.

Members of Textiles and Stitch Around Marlborough who have paid in full the membership fee for 2022-23 by September 12th will be entitled to 1 free ticket. Details of how to apply for your free ticket will be sent as applicable and it is imperative you request your ticket to secure your place

Depending on numbers, 2022/23 members of Textiles & Stitch Around Marlborough will be entitled to apply for ONE additional £10.00 ticket online on a “first come, first served” basis

In order to assist in planning the event, there is a form in the members’ area to register your interest in the event; please let us know if you will not be attending so we can release your ticket.
